Salina is drawn to the conflicting emotions that make us human. She works in creative nonfiction, primarily writing brave and raw personal essays. In 2023, she began creative writing courses at the University of Toronto. Her writing has been longlisted for the CBC Nonfction Prize. She now writes essays and manuscripts while designing. Her writing explores the interiority of being a human and the softness it requires. 

  • In 2024, her essay The Weight of a Gaze was long-listed for the CBC Non-Fiction Prize

  • When she is not writing essays, Salina is working away on writing a memoir that explores grief and its connection to spiritual growth.

  • Salina periodically publishes short essays and rambling thoughts on her Substack. Subscribe for free!

  • Salina is an active and engaging member of a local writer's group, Writers Unite. The group has given her a place to explore different styles and build confidence as a writer.

  • Salina has completed Writing courses at The University of Toronto covering Creative Non Fiction, Writing Through Reading, and Creative Writing.
